Dopo la prima stagione 2012/2013 giocata dalla neosocietà Altotevere San Giustino (la terza in Serie A1 disputata a San Giustino, inizialmente come ex sodalizio di Perugia), i dirigenti si accordano con Città di Castello, neopromossa dalla Serie A2 dopo aver vinto la regular season. L'Altotevere Città di Castello si iscrive alla Serie A1 2013/14 con il titolo di San Giustino. Per il 2014/15 sposta il campo gara nella vicina Sansepolcro
