Society history
Il binomio "Volley Maschile" a Castellana è da sempre legato a quello della "Mater Domini". Nata come Polisportiva nel 1967 la società si è occupata anche di atletica, tennis, calcio, tennistavolo e buoni risultati sono stati raggiunti anche in queste discipline. Con il passare degli anni, però, la passione per la pallavolo ha prevalso. Costanza ed impegno continui hanno permesso di raggiungere traguardi importanti e risultati di prestigio, prime fra tutti la vittoria della Coppa di Lega di Serie B e la promozione in A2, nella stagione '93/'94. La Materdomini Volley.it subentrata alla Polisportiva nel 2001. La società chiude al termine della stagione 2008/09 per dar vita alla New Mater Volley
