Society history
Nasce all'indomani del crack della polisportiva voluta da Berlusconi e dura solo una stagione perchè a causa di problemi economici non si icrive al campionato di Serie A e finisce in B2. Nel 98 appoggiata dallo sponsor Asystel il Gonzaga Volley ottiene la Promozione dalla B2 alla B1. Nel 98/99 sempre accompagnato dallo sponsor Asystel ed amministrato da una nuova dirigenza, con al vertice il Presidente Antonio Caserta, acquisisce i diritti per la partecipazione al campionato di Serie A2. L'anno successivo segna il distacco dall'Istituto Gonzaga e la nascita del Volley Milano che prosegue con il titolo di Serie A.
