Montecatini Terme to host TIM Cup A1 Final Four and TIM Cup A2 final on 30 and 31 January 2010. The venue for the Tim Cup Final Four, scheduled on the 30th and 31st of January will be Montecatini Terme. Six years on, the 32nd cup final is back in The two semi finals will take place on Saturday 30, while the fans will be able to enjoy two finals on Sunday 31, with the A2 and A1 Cup finals. All four games will be broadcasted on Rai Sport Più, live and differed. The schedule will be communicated soon. The teams going through to Montecatini’s Final Four will be known after the single quarter final games of the Wednesday 30 December. As for the A2 cup, the 8 teams taking part will be known at the halfway point of the championship (27 December), then there will be the quarter finals on Wednesday 13 January and the semi finals on Wednesday 20 January.
The formula of the TIM Cup A1 2009-10 changes. The Final Eight has been abolished. The eight best classified teams halfway through the championship will meet in one single game. The best classified team will be the host (at the 30-12-2009). Four games without any chance of redeem leaves the door wide open for surprises.
