Superb performance from the Block Devils in the opening game of the Champions League group phase. Bernardi’s men came back from Ankara with a 3-0 win thanks to some excellent attack, serve and blocking. And there was a great come-back in the third set from 22-18 down with Podrascanin on the serve. Atanasijevic was outstanding, he score 18 points, while Russell was back after a few games out. The team will return to Perugia tomorrow to start preparing for Sunday’s big match at home against Piacenza.
