Venetian derby for Verona

The last encounter before the halfway point of the regular season was very important for both Padova and Verona, and for the later, after five consecutive losses, it was needed to get a moral boost. In the first two sets Verona dominated, it showed all its quality and was extremely focused. Padova tried to get back in it in the third but the visitors sealed it in three sets with an excellent performance from Uros Kovacevic, who was named MVP.
