Lagonegro, brand new opponent

Unprecedented fixture this weekend for the Wolves of Santa Croce, who will take on Lagonegro in the city of Lauria. The team will play in the PalaAlberti arena, which counts only one big stands but expected to be packed and with a good atmosphere. Their club was born in 1978 and played for many years in the C1 division in the 80’s and 90’s. Then a group of friends came in to put new life into the club in 20002. While they finished fourth of the B2 in 2012-13 going close to the Italian Cup final four, they realised two historical breakthroughs the following season with the Cup final and the promotion in the B1 division. Two years later they would obtain their pass into the A2.
