It’s been a great Sunday fo volleyball in the Pala Valentia arena. The hosts gave it a great fight but the stars of Perugia proved they were among the league favourites as they prevailed at the tie-break.
Manuel Coscione: « First of all, it was beautiful to see the stands packed and colourful. It’s been a thrilling and hard-fought encounter, we gave everything we had. But I am still disappointed we surrendered too soon in the tie-break as a team. Our level of focus dropped. We are improving but we have to get better mentally and we must always work hard to prevent the ball from dropping against any opponent ».
Rocco Barone: “That was a great game, tough but great. Shame we lost it. But we did well, if we keep playing like that, the results will come ».
