Verona’s new outside hitter, Mitar Djuric, was unveiled to the press this morning. Born in Sarajevo, he fell in love with volleyball very young thanks to his father. In 2006, he joined Olympiacos and took the Greek nationality. There he won three consecutive league titles, two cups and two SuperCups. He was then acquired by Trento, where he won the SuperCup, two World Club Championships, and two Italian Cups. In 2013, he moved to Turkey and won the league, cup and SuperCup with Halkbank Spor Kulubu. In 2014-15, he played in South Korea before coming back to Trento to take part in the playoffs. He won two silver medals with the Greek national team : in the Balkan Championships and the European League 2014.
