Highights of the opening round

All smiles in Castellana following the victory over Lagonegro. But everybody will keep their feet on the ground and keep working hard ahead of Sunday’s tricky road game against Aversa. In the meantime, let’s have a look at the highlights of last weekend : first of all the fact there was a big crowd at the PalaGrotte arena, over a thousand came to watch the game. The Brazilian pair looked promosing and complementary : Canuto boasted a superb 70% in reception on 20 plays as well as a key block on Boesso in the first set, while Djalma Moreira registered 52% in attack and showed he had a big potential in every fundamental. Finally, coach Lorizio went for two substitutions at 20-23 with Di Noia and De Santis on for Garnica and Cazzaniga. And it paid off, De Santis on his full debut in the Serie A, scored two quick points, his entry turned things around, Cazzaniga said it himself at the end of the game.
