Gitto back in Latina

Latina and Carmelo Gitto are reunited. The Sicilian middle blocker is back in Latina after two years spent in Verona. Born on 3 July 1987 in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, 200cm tall, Gitto has already played five years in Latina. “I have to say I am really happy to be back in Latina and have the opportunity to resume where I had left off at the end of a 2013-14 season that had not gone too well. I really want to do everything I can to help the team. Useless to say that Latina is like a second home to me. I’ll always be grateful to this club, who has always been welcoming and helped me grow up at the highest level. I have so many memories from the PalaBianchini arena: big wins, in European competitions too, and a couple of angry moments too after disappointing losses. Latina has always been competitive and I’m sure this year again this will be a team that will be difficult to beat”.
