The Perugia roster is completed with the extension of Alessandro “Phantom” Franceschini. He came in last season very humble and obtained the respect and faith of everyone thanks to his constant effort, positive attitude and quality as a player. “It seems to be the typical thing to say but I am truly very happy to stay! – said Franceschini – My priority was to remain a Perugia player, even the walls of the PalaEvangelisti arena knew it. When I signed, I realized I was the only back-up to be extended. This is an important aspect because those who play little run the risk of remaining in the dark, behind the scene and therefore they don’t have many opportunities to show their worth. The fact the club decided to keep me means they appreciated my dedication and my work. It means that what I’ve done in the gym convinced them it could be helpful to the team. And I am very happy about that”.
