Born in Ostuni in 1965, Vincenzo Nacci was officially appointed the new Latina head coach. Nacci is currently the coach of the Venezuelan national team, although he won’t have any commitment for the coming months given that Venezuela did not qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio. Nacci will come in after Blengini, who became coach of the Italian national team and Civitanova, and Camillo Placì, who will take over the Halkbank Ankara bench in Turkey.

“I want to thank the club for this great opportunity and for the faith they show in me – said Nacci, who’s currently in Caracas, Venezuela – They make me part of an important project, I want to thank the managerial staff and sport director Candido Grande, with whom I talk a lot. In spite of the distance, we have worked hard to build the new team in recent weeks and the club is doing its best to put together a good roster. In recent years, the job of Venezuela head coach helped so much that I now have the privilege to take over an important team like Latina”.
