Castellana Grotte signed Cristian Casoli. Born in 1975, the spiker is coming off two great seasons in the Serie A2 with Potenza Picena and then with Vibo Valentia, where he won the Italian Cup A2 and helped his team make it to the playoffs final. He can boast twenty years in the top division, he made his debut in Milan before playing for some of the top teams of the league such as Cuneo, Treviso and Modena. He is in the top ten of players for appearances in the A1, over 4500 in his career, and he collected 100 caps with the Italian national team. At club level, he won two league titles, five Italian Cups, 6 Italian Super Cups, the Italian Cup A2, the Champions League, two Cup winners Cup, 3 CEV/Challenge Cup and 2 European Super Cups, while hte helped Italy to win two World Leagues. A very impressive resumé.
