There’s no slowing down Perugia on the market. It’s one player after another. The latest brought in by President Sirci, Vujevic and Rizzuto is no less than the middle blocker of the Serbian national team: Marko Podrascanin. The super star has been playing in Italy for a while now. He had made his debut in 2007-08 with Corigliano, coming from Novi Sad, and then spent 8 years at Civitanova. Born in Belgrade like Atanasijevic, the 29 year-old is 203cm tall, he’s a superb blocker and has a sharp jump serve. In his resumé, there is three national titles (one in Serbia, two in Italy), 2 cups (1 Serbian, 1 Italian), 3 Italian Super Cups and one Challenge Cup.

“I am so motivated! – he said – It couldn’t be otherwise, I have signed for Perugia, a team that is getting better and better, a team that made two league finals in the past three years. I needed a change and a new challenge after 8 years at Civitanova and I am thrilled to be here. There are so many players I know here, as well as the coaching staff, there’s a President with great enthusiams and a great project. I think coming here is the perfect choice for my career”.
