Trentino officially registered its name among the teams to take part in the CEV Cup 2016-17. They had qualified thanks to its third place in the SuperLega regular season. This will be Trento’s ninth consecutive participation in European competition and the third time in the CEV Cup. In 2004-05, they had been knocked out in the 8th of finals, while they lost the final in 2015 against Dinamo Moscow.
