Padova’s young libero (Born 1995), Fabio Balaso, was called in by the Italian national team coach Gianlorenzo Blengini to take part in a camp to prepare for the World League and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
“A great honour for me to wear the shirt of the national team – said Balaso – And it’s a dream come true. I owe this selection to the hard work of the team and the coaching staff. They put me in the best condition to play a good season. Over the years in Padova, I had the opportunity to get better step by step, with consistency and to work with players and coaches that have had a crucial role in my career. Now I will try to make the most of this great opportunity”.
