The regular season in numbers

The club has already started to plan out the 2016-17 season but let’s take time to look at the stats of this current season. Overall it’s been a very positive debut year in the Serie A2. Staying up would have been the goal and it would have been achieved. Barisciani’s men had only grabbed two home wins in the first half of season but obtained five in the second. They won three games on a 3-0 score, four on a 3-1 score, five at the tie-break (out of 7). On the other hand, they lost seven on a 3-0 score. As far as the various fundamentals are concerned, they did well on the serve and in the blocking department, while the reception was rather poor and the attack could have gone better. Mondovì finished 6th in aces per sets (1.27) and first in the blocking charts with 294 blocks, 6 more than Vibo Valentia. One reason for this is Michele Parusso, 8th best blocker in the league with 71. Another important name has been setter Cortellazzi, who has guided his teammates with brilliance.
