On Sunday, Cantù will be in Vibo Valentia for the opening game of the playoffs quarter-final series, to be played on the best of three. Vibo is simply the regular season champion as well as the winner of the Italian Cup A2. In the regular season, Cantù made it hard for Vibo but could not gather any points.
“Vibo is very strong and has a lot of experience – said coach Della Rosa – But I think that at this point we shouldn’t look too much at who’s on the other side of the net. The league has been very tight and in the playoffs what will matter a lot are the psychophysical conditions of the teams. Vibo did lose some games against teams standing behind them so everything is possible. We’ll have to play our game without any pressure, then we’ll see what happens”.
