Former Potenza setter Federico Bonami and his Tuscania team got away with the three points as a splendid come-back from the hosts vanished at the end of the fourth set. The visitors were led by the outstanding Mrdak, top scorer of the game, and Shavrak.
“We were convinced we had this game going to the tie-break – said middle blocker Omar Biglino – Unfortunately, two unlucky rallies and an excellent serve from Tuscania had the best of us. Shame because we were doing very well in the last two sets. We work hard every day, but we need more composure when it’s tight and at the end of sets. I am satisfied with my performance but this defeat really hurts”.
