A week after the first leg that saw Perugia win 3-1 in Germany in the CEV Cup quarter-finals, Kovac’s men will host Duren to try to finish what they started and qualify for the Challenge Round.

“Let’s put the Trento loss behind us – said coach Kovac – Hopefully we’ll have learnt something from it. We had a poor game, and our physical problems did not help. We’ll now have two home games but more importantly more training sessions to get better. We’ll need to make the most of this week, both in training and games, to consolidate our identity. Obviously we need results too. We have to be very careful at this CEV Cup game against Duren, we cannot take anything for granted. The Germans are ambitious and they’ll definitely go for it. But we’re home and we must give it all. I expect the boys to do much better in the serve and reception and play a good game”.
