Great news for the Monza fans. The club strengthened its squad with the addition of Croatian star Ivan Raic. Currently in the top eight and qualified for the Italian Cup for the first time ever, the team will have the outside hitter of the Croatian national team at its disposal. The lefty born in 1989 began the season in Turkey. Before that he played a Challenge Cup final in 2010 with HAOK Mladost Zagreb against Perugia, three years in Greece and at Budvanska Rivijera Budva in Montenegro, where he made the league-cup double on his first season, in France at Sète where he finished third top scorer, and he also had a little spell in Italy’s Serie A2 in 2010-11 at Pineto.

I am extremely happy to be back in Italy – said Raic – I did not hesitate one second when I received the call from such a competitive and well-organised club like Monza. The first few training sessions have confirmed my opinion, the training methods are excellent and my teammates really made me feel welcomed and helped me settle in. I chose to come to Monza because this is an ambitious club which has grown a lot in recent years. Hopefully this will be a great experience, I am extremely motivated, I can’t wait to play my first game”.
