On Sunday, Ortona will play the opening game of 2016 at home against the Reggio Emilia team coached by Luca Cantagalli. Reggio is coming off a positive outing against Alessano (3-2 win at home) but Ortona is eager to do well in this last round that will define its position for the Italian Cup A2.
“2015 has been a positive year in any way you look at it – said coach Nunzio Lanci – We managed to have a great season in spite of not being very lucky in the playoffs. The new season did not start brilliantly but now, after four straight wins, we have become a unit and we managed to understand how to play through the tough times”.
