On Saturday, Club Italia surrendered to Tuscania on a 3-0 score (25-18, 25-20, 27-25). The youngsters did not manage to repeat the positive performances of the last rounds, they have been dominated from start to finish. Tofoli’s men proved too accurate, they left Club Italia very few opportunities. Still, Club Italia tried to ignite a come-back in the third set, with three match-points wiped out, but in the end Tuscania found a way to seal it.
“We are very disappointed, our attitude in the first two set was not right – said coach Totire – We could definitely have played better, but instead we made a lot of mistakes. We might have been a little tired after the recent good outings but this alone cannot explain this poor performance”.
