The club has brought back coach Boban Kovac, who led the team from 2011 to 2014. He will substitute Daniel Castellani.
“I think Castellani is not only a good person, serious and professional, but also a good well prepared coach – said President Sirci – But our current fifth place does not meet our expectations, especially considering the qualification for the Italian cup, so we decided to make a change”.
Kovac was the one to bring Perugia all the way up among the very best of Italian volleyball. He started with the A2 title and the Italian Cup and even reached the SuperLega title game in 2013-14. Loved by the Perugia fans, he will be warmly welcomed back after two years with the Iranian national team.
