Deserving more in Salento loss

At times there are games won more or less deservedly. The opposite occurred for Brescia, who was defeated on the road against Alessano, but they could definitely have obtained more out of it. The Brescia squad made the long trip south with the hope of gathering a big win against a direct rival following their mid-week win over Siena. The first set started with a big disappointment as the set slept away at the death (24-26). The second set was a different story, dominated by Brescia. Tiberti and co had the momentum and began the third set strong but eventually surrendered 25-22. The hosts seemed to cruise to a four-set victory before Brescia made a superb come-back, only to lose it 28-26. The biggest disappointment is that the players were not at their best physically after the mid-week round and the tiring trip to the Salento area.
