Verona finished the job off in the Challenge Cup and qualified for the 16th of finals. They needed only two sets to go through following their first leg win but they defeated the Portuguese of Fonte do Bastardo Azores 3-1 on the road too. In the next round, the Italians will take on the Dutch of Zwolle, who were knocked out of the CEV Cup.
