The first home game of the season brought some joy to Cantù who found it hard but had the better of Club Italia. Winners of Alessano in the first round, Cantù will now stand tall on its own on top of the league until Sunday, when the other games will be played. On court there were the Tofoli and Margutti Junior, the sons of the Phenomenon’s Generation. Meanwhile, Monguzzi reached the 500 points in career.

“We had to work hard to earn this victory against a team, let’s not forget it, that finished fifth in the last World Championships Juniors – explained coach Della Rosa – Obviously if you put them under pressure, they can find it hard, but when they find their rhythm they become very dangerous. We did not play at our best tonight, we made too many mistakes, we can definitely do better”.
