The Monza squad will travel to Padova on Thursday for one last pre-season friendly. 4-0 winners in the latest test over the Swiss of Lugano, this will be one last opportunity to try out the schemes before the league opener against Trentino on October 28. Monza and Padova have already met twice in this pre-season, and the team from Lombardia won on both occasions: 3-1 three weeks ago at home, and 2-1 last week inside the Schio tournament.
“Yesterday was an important day, we have finally seen the full squad on court – said sport director Claudio Bonati – The players not only played some quality volleyball but showed a lot of will and cohesion after just a few days all together. It was easy to feel their energy and enthusiasm from the stands, and I think this is something important, crucial even, to have a good season”.
