Bitter sweet debut in Spoleto tournament

It’s been a bitter sweet outing for Siena in the Spoleto tournament. They collected a win against the Serie A2 team of Civita Castellana but were then defeated by the hosts of Spoleto (B1 division). Siena’s first starting six of the season was setter Scappaticcio, Bencz outside hitter, Snippe and Grassano spikers, Braga and Bortolozzo middle blockers. In these first friendly games of the season, Siena showed flashes of good volleyball but certain weaknesses were evident at times. This will give a lot of food for thoughts to coach Giannini to plan the work in the gym. There’s still a long way to go before the start of the championship and plenty of time to make adjustments.
