Castellana made its first outing in Molfetta against a club that plays in the SuperLega. The hosts won it 3-0 but coach Vincenzo had the opportunity to see most of his new players in action. Lorenzo Bonetti was lined-up from the start and finished top scorer of the guests with 14 points. Tartaglione, Scopelliti, Pedron, Giosa and libero Nero completed the starting six. Vincenzo Tamburo missed the game as he is recovering from a niggling injury. Another match-up between the two teams is set for Friday 25.
“Molfetta is a strong team – said coach Fanizza – We had a tough time in various situations. We definitely have to improve our reception. We were without Tamburo today, but we played face to face for two sets. It’s been a good learning experience for some players who are making their debut at this level”.
