Piacenza and coach Giuliani signed their first player for the new season: setter Manuel Coscione. Born in 1980, he will play his 16th season in the elite of Italian volleyball. Last year he reached 407 appearances and 631 points as he played for Verona (110 aces, 274 blocks). While he played for 12 years at home in Cuneo, he also played for Montichiari, Padova, Roma, Martina Franca, Forlì and Vibo Valentia. At club level, he won the Italian Cup twice (2002 and 2006) and two CEV Cup, (2002 and 2008, MVP of the final four with Roma).
