We’re just a few days away from the transfer deadline as Piacenza launches its first offensive. The club starts over from the most important position: the coach. It will be Alberto Giuliani who will take over the bench after four years spent in Macerata, where he won two league titles (2012 and 2014) and two Super Cups (2’13 and 2014). Born in San Severino in 1964, Giuliani played as a spiker, winning consecutively the Serie C and a B2 league title. This is precisely at that time that he began to work towards a coaching career. One of his first major achievements was to take his home town club, San Severino, from the first division all the way up to the B1. Trophies started flowing in when he arrived at Cuneo a few years later, winning the league title, the Super Cup, the CEV Cup and the Italian Cup. More success followed when he joined Macerata.

“We will start over by building around Zlatanov, which is a nice way to start a new roster – said coach Giuliani – He’s the heart and soul of this club and a formidable player. His role will also be to attract good players to the club. The season we’re about to start will be a transition year designed to get Piacenza back on its feet”.
