Reggio announced its first move of the summer and its ambition with it. The club signed Australian international Thomas Ewen Douglas-Powell. Born in 1992, the spiker took part in the latest World League, he did not make it into the final six but had a good tournament, scoring 13 and 9 respectively against top teams like Brazil and Serbia.

“Tom will surprise more than one, he will help us be one of the top teams this season – said the owner Azzio Santini – He’s extremely strong in attack and solid at the net too. We have been following him for a while, even in training sessions he had with his national team in Italy, and his qualities have really caught our eyes. It’s not been easy to bring him in but it’s a great signing”.
