The hero of the cup quarter-finals, Augusto Quarta, will stay in Potenza Picena for the coming season. Born in Bologna in 1993, the middle blocker will have a great opportunity to make a name for himself this season as both Enrico Diamantini and Alberto Polo left to play in the SuperLega.
“The negotiations went superfast because I always wanted to stay in Potenza Picena – said Augusto Quarta – I am sure I will have more opportunities to show what I can do. I have belief in my ability, and I have never been as good as now as a blocker. Shame we will not go in the SuperLega, with the great work done last season the team would have deserved to face the top teams in Italy. But the A2 is a great championship too, the managers have their heads firmly set on their shoulders”.
