Calzedonia Verona announced middle blocker Simone Anzani signed a two-year contract extension with the club. The middle blocker had made his debut in Verona in 2013-14. He made 55 appearances since then, with 206 sets played and 428 points scored (7.8 per set).

“I really wanted to stay here – said Anzani – I love this shirt, I begun this journey two years ago and I’m thrilled it will continue for two more. I have experienced some special emotions this season and I want more of the same in the future. My main target will be to keep improving as a player and do my best to help the team. This club has to aim as high as possible”.
