Marmi Lanza Verona: Marmi Lanza has won 3-0 the friendly match against Olympiacos Pireo. Good match for Verona in front of more than 500 people. After the three set the two teams palyed another set so that Coach Dagioni could give space to Grassi, Birarelli and Pistovic; the set ended 25- 27.
Verona starting six has been: Boninfante setter, Biribanti opposite, Gato and Bernardi spikers, Bontje and Howard middleblockers with Sorcinelli libero. At the end of the first set Pistovic replaced Sorcinelli.
Good start for Olympiacos in the first set: 8-4 for the greeks at the first time out. Olympiacos keep staying on front up to 18-23 when Gato serves allow Verona to tie the score up: 23-23; then Bernardi and Gato close the set 25-23.
In the second set Verona started very strongly: 8-5 at the first time out and 16-8 at the second. No problems so to close the set in Verona favour for 25-19. Third set like the second with Verona always ahead: 25-20 the third set score.
