In the first friendly match Fiorese Spa Bassano lost 3-0 against Hiroshima Japan tobacco and showed that the team is still conditioned by the hard phiscal work done in the last weeks. The Japanes team ahead in the preparation and most of all with more matches behind dominated the whole match in defense and by making very few mistakes.
Bassano boys on the other hand did not show a good team game yet with a high percentage of point errors.
In the yesterday tranning then, Daniele Desiderio didn’t play for a leg muscolar problem, nothing serious, but the club prefered to let him out of the match to avoid further problems. Michele Borsatto replaced him and play a good match. Bassano will also stay without setter Carletti for two weeks but cuban Salas replaced him very well.
Coach Simoni said: “I am not satisfied about the boys match and not because we lost. They are a very good team and ahead in the preparation and I knew it would have been a tough match. But the boys didn’t play as I wanted and now we have to work even harder. Despite the hard work already done, amonge injuries and absences, we ended up by paying some dues that I didn’t understand yet and the results are not coming yet. We made too many mistakes. We need to improve our blocks and our team game. I am sure that we have time to improve a lot.”
In the first set Bassano started bad by making a lot of mistakes. Difficulties in the passing and Japanese team wins the set 21-25. In the second set Simoni’s boys seem to play much better and only few more mistakes give the set to Japan Tobacco for 23-25. Also the third set has been very tight until almost the end but Japanes plays better and wins it 20-25.
More than two hundred people were present. Fiorese will play again on the 12th of September against Cavriago.
