Mastrangelo had to work out an unusual line-up as captain Suglia was ruled out (back) but his men still ran away with a 3-1 win over Brescia. Thanks to this victory, Matera wrote its name among the 8 that will take part in the playoffs with two games to spare.
“I am happy with the win and the level of play – said coach Mastrangelo – I really want to thank everyone for reaching our goal, the playoffs. Every single one of them worked hard to get there, some had to play in an unusual position, but still gave everything and with character. We’ll first try to finish the regular season as well as we can with the games against Castellana Grotte and then Alessano, and only after those encounters will we turn our attention to the playoffs”.
