Potenza holds firmly the third place in the table thanks to an away win in Brescia. Diamantini and co have a six-point advantage on the fourth, Corigliano, while they chase Sora, which is four points ahead in second place.
“I only knew at the last minute that I would start – said outside hitter Denis Alikaj – I need to play, to learn during games and get better. I had the satisfaction as well to score the winning points and now I’m enjoying this win on the road against a feisty team”. Diamantini added that part of the success was credit to “a strategy based on the serve”, which worked fine since they “created a lot of problems to their receivers”. Now Potenza can prepare the next road game against Ortona without any pressure.
