The Potenza players resumed training yesterday following a two-day rest to mentally rest after the cup final lost. But now the group is preparing for a big game against Corigliano as the two teams are tied in third place. The harsh defeat 14-16 in the tie-break of the cup final has left the team bitter but has also multiplied its will to win.
“Potenza is the team that played the best volleyball in the final four – said main sponsor Maurizio Bernardi – it’s disappointing we did not brought back the cup home, unfortunately a series of coincidences prevented us from doing so. But we have to feel moral winners of the competition. We reached the Serie A2 for the first time in history just three years ago, and thanks to the excellent management of the club and the quality of the players we can now compete for big prizes”.
