Maranesi’s team was in Piacenza today for a friendly game against Radici’s men. It ended in a 2-2 draw as the tie-break was not played. An excellent test ahead of the home game against Latina. Without the Brazilian Temponi and the Dutch Horstink, Milan played face to face with Piacenza (without Ostapenko and Vermiglio). They won the first two sets, and gave it a good fight in the fourth after being dominated in the third. Bencz finished top scorer for Milan with 14 points, but Veres and dos Santos were in double figures too with 12 each.

“We played the kind of good volleyball seen in Padova, where we won our first game of the season – said coach Maranesi – I liked the team in the first two sets but in the fourth too. We did well on the first touch, both in reception and on the serve”.
