When Veres, De Togni and Mattera were wearing the Padova shirt, top scorer Stefano Giannotti (107 points) was still going to school. Now Padova will meet them again as it takes on Milan this Sunday.
“Just like Padova, our start of the season has been complicated – said Mattera – We have always played stronger teams than us. We will just come and do our best, aware that Padova is coming off two positive results, so they will morally have an advantage on us. I have great memories from Padova, I’ve had two very good seasons, working and getting along well with players and staff. It will be nice to see some of the boys with whom I took on so many battles”.
