The story of Stefano Gozzo sounds like a fairytale. If someone had told him two years ago he’d have been one of the stars of Padova in a SuperLega game, he’d probably have laughed. But instead the young lad born in 1994 made the fans fall in love with his enthusiasm.
“The jump from the Under 19 to the SuperLega has not been a stroll in the park, I have to say I was tense – said Gozzo – But after the first point scored, I already felt more at ease. In the first four games we played against teams that had stars playing for some of the best nations in the world, but as we played I realized that behind those big names, there were very normal people, so the fear vanished”.
