Verona ended second in the Volley Mont Blanc Trophy in Courmayeur. Gasparini finished top scorer of the final with 22 points but the Italians were defeated 3-1 by the French side of Lyon.

Verona will take part in another tournament on October 4-5 in Gubbio. The other teams will be Piacenza, Città di Castello and Modena. For the occasion, coach Giani will have US spiker Sunder, expected to join the group in training this week.
