The hosts of Potenza Picena celebrated another pre-season triumph. Graziosi’s men collected a tie-break win over Ortona, who will take part in the Serie A2 too this season. The game could have been shorter as Potenza wasted an opportunity to make it a sweep. But led by top scorer Miochalovic (25 points), Ortona fought back to level the score and force a fifth set. Potenza’s many youngsters lined up in the clutch time, however, did the job. Moretti was inspired with 22 points while there was some excellent work at the net from Quarta and Polo.
