Maranesi’s men were defeated 3-1 in Piacenza. After a one-way traffic first set for the hosts, Milan stepped up and gave Piacenza quite a hard time. Bencz stood out for Milan with 27 points.
“We were a bit tense in the first set – said coach Maranesi – We got into our rhythm and things got better. Bencz played well, the setters worked well too from the second set on. Now we’ll wait for the Brazilian (Temponi Araujo and Vinicius Dos Santos) to get back to their best”.
