Now that they have secured second place in the table, Macerata knows that in the playoffs quarter-finals it will meet up with the winner between 7th and 10th place. Right now, the seventh is Vibo, Macerata’s opponent in the last round of the regular season, but Perugia, Castellana and Latina could all end up in this seventh place.

“In the playoffs you have to respect whatever opponent you’re up against – said coach Giuliani – It’s been said many times, the playoffs are a whole new league, each game is different and has to be played with maximum focus and determination. We’ll just wait and see who will be our opponent to study them and prepare the game as well as possible”.

One thing is for sure, Macerata will start off the series with a 1-0 advantage, and will play game 2 away on Wednesday 27. Game 3 will be home on March 31.
