Matera secured the services of home grown Leonardo Monteleone for one more season and brought in Gabriele Calitri. Born in 1997, Monteleone came up in Matera’s youth ranks and he made his first team debut last season. Coach Mastrangelo strongly believes in him and wanted to have him train with the Serie A roster from day one. As for Calitri, he is a spiker receiver who came up in Foggia and had his first experience away from home last season in the B1 division with Ugento.
