Potenza targetted the best young prospects of the Lube Macerata school to build a lively local roster. The club agreed on terms with talented setter Pier Paolo Partenio. Born in 1993, he followed his father’s footsteps who was a spiker in the Macerata team in the 90’s in the Serie A2. The youngster is back in the Marche region after a season at Piacenza where he won the Italian Cup, his first trophy as a pro.
“I am convinced I have made the right choice – he said – While I was growing and maturing in Macerata, I followed with interest the progress of Potenza until it reached the Serie A2. This was made possible thanks to a great managerial staff. Besides, the PalaPrincipi arena brings me luck, last year I played the group phase of the Junior League which we’ve then won in Loreto. I’m coming off an excellent experience in the A1, both as a sports man and human being. I had the chance to play alongside great stars and I am now excited to find such a great player like Federico Moretti, I’m sure we’ll really get along”.
